Telegram released an update for the desktop version of the messenger-Telegram Desktop 5.16.3. The updated release is available for Windows, macOS and Linux users. Key innovations include expanded content monetization features and changes in the logic of working with checklists.
The main innovation was the ability to charge for private messages in channels. Now administrators and authors can set a price for individual communication within their channel, which opens up additional sources of income for content makers and experts. Payment options work through Telegram's built-in mechanisms.
In addition, the new version removes the function of creating checklists in channels. This measure is aimed at simplifying the interface and preventing confusion in the format of information submission, especially in channels with a large number of subscribers.
An important addition was the inclusion of support for copyright channels in the Telegram gift system. This will allow the audience to directly express gratitude to their favorite authors through digital gifts, strengthening the interaction between content creators and their subscribers.
Telegram Desktop 5.16.3 is already available for download:
- For Windows, macOS, and Linux**: from the project's official website or repository.
- Windows**: via the Microsoft Store.
- macOS**: via the App Store.
- Linux**: via Flathub and Snapcraft.
With each update, Telegram strengthens its position as one of the most flexible and functional messengers with opportunities for business, monetization and creative self-realization. Version 5.16.3 continues this trend, providing users with more tools to develop their own projects in a digital environment.
