Uzbekistan national team starts training camp before the Rowing World Cup
The national team of Uzbekistan in kayaking and canoeing has left for Bulgaria, where it will begin the final stage of preparation for two key international starts of the season. The training camp is held in Plovdiv, one of the most recognized rowing centers in Eastern Europe. The team trains ahead of the Under-18 and Under-23 World Youth Championships, which will be held in Montemor y Velho, Portugal, from July 23 to 27, as well as the Adult World Championships in Milan, Italy, scheduled for August 20-24.
The national team consists of promising athletes who have already managed to prove themselves at the continental and world championships:
The team's training is led by experienced coaches-Adrian Dushev and Natasha Dushev-Yanich. Their training methods have long proven themselves in the international arena, and their approach to working with young people has allowed the team to steadily increase the result.
The World Youth Championship in Portugal is considered as an important stage in the development of a new generation of Uzbek rowers. Attention is also focused on the adult category — the upcoming competitions in Milan can determine the contours of the national team for the next Olympic cycle. It is expected that athletes will compete in both individual and team disciplines, including two-person canoes and four-person kayaks.
Meanwhile, on the YouTube video platform, users noticed a music video called" ROWING & CANOE Anthem – Forward, team! " dedicated to the national team and sent it to the editor maili.uz The video is a patriotic musical work that inspires athletes to achieve new achievements.
Such initiatives emphasize that rowing in Uzbekistan is becoming part of the country's cultural identity and attracts the attention of not only the sports community, but also a wide audience.
