The market of transport services in Uzbekistan reached 70.7 trillion soums with an annual growth of 14%

As of June 1, 2025, the volume of the transport market of Uzbekistan reached 70.7 trillion soums, demonstrating an annual increase of 14%. According to state statistics, the transport sector remains one of the key drivers of economic growth in the service sector.

The capital region holds the lead: Tashkent formed the largest market volume — 15.5 trillion soums. The second and third places were occupied by Samarkand and Tashkent regions, each of which reached the level of 4.8 trillion soums. Significant indicators were also recorded in the Ferghana (3.8 trillion soums) and Andijan (3 trillion soums) regions.

Against the background of the general expansion of the service sector, the volume of which exceeded 373 trillion soums, transport showed steady growth, both in physical volumes and in price dynamics. Over the past 12 months, prices for transport services in the country have increased by an average of 17.4%.

The transport services sector is gaining strategic importance within the framework of Uzbekistan's economic agenda. In January of this year, the President of the country set a task to increase the export of transport services to $ 3 billion. This includes developing logistics corridors, improving railway and automobile infrastructure, and attracting foreign partners to joint transport projects.

The steady growth of the transport sector reflects not only an increase in domestic demand for transportation, but also strategic efforts to transform Uzbekistan into a logistics hub between Asian and European countries. In the coming years, the transport segment is expected to further strengthen its position in the country's GDP structure.
