Cooperation between Uzbekistan and France in the field of digitalization is getting a new development. During the UN Civil Service Forum held in Samarkand, the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the Republic of Uzbekistan Aurelie Bouchez.
Key areas of the digital agenda were discussed at the meeting: introduction of artificial intelligence technologies, expansion of IT outsourcing, modernization of public services, as well as promotion of Uzbek IT companies to European markets. Among the priorities is the development of the export of digital services using the institutional resources of the French diplomatic mission.

The Minister provided information on the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in the field of e-government, digital economy and state transformation. Special attention was paid to strengthening interaction between government agencies and the private sector, as well as expanding public access to digital public services.
In response, the French side shared its experience of digital transformation in France and expressed its readiness to transfer expertise. The Ambassador noted the prospects of cooperation and focused on the possibility of implementing joint initiatives.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to deepen cooperation in the field of digitalization, including areas of cybersecurity, export development of IT services, and the launch of joint projects with the participation of technology companies from the two countries.
