President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has left for Minsk on a working visit at the invitation of President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. The visit is timed to coincide with participation in the next meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
The Head of Uzbekistan takes part in events with the status of the head of the observer state at the Eurasian Economic Union. The format of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EAEU in this status provides for participation in key meetings, discussion of integration issues and development of economic ties without obligations for full membership.
It is expected that the topics of deepening trade and economic cooperation, creating new production chains, expanding logistics routes and digital integration will be discussed on the sidelines of the summit. High-level bilateral meetings are also planned during the visit.
