Huawei has announced the global launch of its flagship Pura 80 smartphone line. The presentation will take place on July 10, 2025 in Dubai. The series, first introduced in China in June, includes the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, Pura 80 Pro+ and Pura 80 Ultra models. At the moment, the release of the Pura 80 Ultra model on international markets has been confirmed, the status of other devices is being clarified.
The flagship Pura 80 Ultra features a 1-inch, 50-megapixel RYYB sensor with a variable aperture of f/1.6-4.0, which provides high light sensitivity and wide opportunities for mobile photography. The device also includes a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 1.5-megapixel spectral sensor, and a dual periscope camera (50 MP + 12.5 MP) with an optical zoom of 3.7 x and 9.4 x.
The Pura 80 Pro and Pro+ models are equipped with a similar main sensor, but with TV cameras that support 4x zoom. All devices in the series are built on the proprietary Kirin 8020 processor and support satellite communications, which makes them suitable for use in the absence of a standard mobile network.
In China, the devices run the HarmonyOS 5.0 operating system. Global versions of smartphones are also expected to ship with Huawei's proprietary software, but the final configuration of the software has not yet been confirmed.
The starting price of new models on the international market, according to preliminary data, will be from $1000.
