Digital Technology Center of Uzbekistan launched in Shanghai

Digital Technology Center of Uzbekistan opened in Shanghai. The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov. The initiative to create the center is aimed at implementing the strategic objectives defined in the national programs "Uzbekistan-2030" and "Digital Uzbekistan-2030".

The Center is designed to play a key role in attracting Chinese IT companies and international grants to Uzbekistan, as well as in expanding the export of domestic digital services and IT products. One of the priorities of the work will be to promote the opportunities of Uzbek IT companies in the Chinese market.

During the ceremony, IT Park's plans to enter the Chinese market were presented. Tax relief programs, educational initiatives for training IT specialists, as well as key areas of digital reforms and large-scale projects in the field of information and communication technologies implemented in Uzbekistan were presented.

The establishment and operation of the center is supported by Shanghai Oriental Credits Industrial Development Co., Ltd. The four-story building where the center is located includes two conference halls, a reception area and a specialized exhibition area for demonstrating products and solutions of Uzbek IT companies.

The center is open for participation of compatriots studying in Shanghai. They are charged with preparing information materials for the promotion of national ICT projects, system IT solutions and services of local companies. Citizens who voluntarily join the work of the center within the framework of the Digital World project of the Ministry of Digital Technologies will be able to obtain the status of an "IT Ambassador" with the right to represent the interests of the Uzbek IT sector at the international level.
