A user of the social network X with the nickname @ya_sking12767 reported an explosion of the Samsung Galaxy S25 smartphone while charging. He published photos of the device with a destroyed structure: the pictures show a badly damaged and partially melted middle frame of the phone. Details of the incident were not disclosed. It is not known whether the original charger and cable were used.

Samsung Galaxy smartphones are equipped with software that monitors the charging process and should automatically interrupt it in case of overheating or other anomalies. The incident is still being treated as an isolated incident.

Against the background of this message, data appeared about another case — the battery of the Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone swelled up, causing the device case to deform. Recall that in 2022, it was reported about rare cases of battery swelling in Samsung smartphones after several years of operation.

Previously, Samsung has already faced problems related to battery fires. The most famous case is the Galaxy Note 7 in 2016. Then defective batteries led to overheating and fires, which forced the manufacturer to completely stop production and withdraw the model from the market.
