Samsung began rolling out the June security update for a number of its devices, including the former flagship Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, Galaxy S21 Ultra, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra. Also updated were the mid-budget models Galaxy A55, Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A36.
According to Sammobile, the update for the Galaxy S22 line was the first to be available to users in South Korea. In the coming weeks, the distribution will also affect other regions, which corresponds to the company's standard practice of gradually releasing updates: first in the home market, then in other countries.
The June security patch closes 19 vulnerabilities in the One UI interface, addresses a number of serious vulnerabilities in the Android system, and includes fixes for components related to single-chip systems manufactured by Samsung. The goal of the update is to improve the level of user data protection and device stability.
