Hackers have made publicly available 16 billion passwords from Apple, Google, Instagram, Facebook, GitHub and Telegram accounts. According to experts, this is the largest data leak in the entire history of observations.
The merged databases contain billions of passwords not only from the accounts of ordinary users of popular services, but also from developer accounts, as well as corporate profiles of large companies. Experts note that the greatest threat is the fact that these passwords were not previously included in the leaks — we are talking about completely new data that was not compromised earlier.
Information security experts strongly recommend that you immediately change the passwords for all your accounts and avoid using the same password on multiple sites or services.
