Approved procedure for destruction of documentary securities

By order of the Director of the National Agency for Advanced Projects, the Instruction on the Destruction of Documentary Securities was approved (reg. No. 3630 of June 17, 2025). The document is designed to accelerate digitalization and further develop the stock market infrastructure.

The instruction is aimed at streamlining the circulation of securities previously issued by issuers in paper form and their gradual withdrawal from circulation. These measures are designed to increase the transparency and reliability of accounting and operational processes in the securities market.

The document establishes the procedure for withdrawing documentary securities from circulation, regulates the process of their disposal, and defines acceptable methods of destruction. Recycling is carried out by a special commission created by the issuer. It consists of at least five members, including representatives of the issuer, the authorized state body and the Central Securities Depository.

Destruction of documentary securities is carried out by burning or shredding with mandatory recording of the procedure in accordance with the established procedure.
