Digital infrastructure development issues discussed at meeting with AIIB

Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held talks with the leadership of the Asian Infrastructure and Investment Bank (AIIB) during a visit to the People's Republic of China. The main topic of the meeting was the development of digital infrastructure and opportunities for financing promising projects in this area.

They discussed areas of cooperation in implementing initiatives related to digitalization, including with the participation of international companies already operating in Uzbekistan. Information was provided on existing projects aimed at modernizing the IT sector and expanding cooperation with global technology partners.

Special attention was paid to reforms in the field of information technologies. They discussed the priorities of the digital economy, government support measures, including tax incentives for investors and residents of IT parks, as well as programs aimed at creating highly qualified jobs for young professionals. In addition, initiatives to expand public access to digital services in the country's regions were discussed.
