Audi changes strategy: abandoning the schedule for stopping the production of internal combustion engines and relying on flexibility

Audi has revised its previously approved plans to stop developing and producing cars with internal combustion engines (ICE) by 2033. The brand's CEO said in an interview that the decisions on a full transition to electric vehicles, laid down by the previous management, have been canceled.

At the moment, Audi does not set a strict schedule for the completion of production of cars with traditional engines. The company notes that this will allow you to flexibly respond to changing market conditions and consumer preferences.

According to the management, in the period from 2025 to 2026, Audi plans to introduce a new series of models with internal combustion engines and plug-in hybrids. These vehicles will be part of a strategy aimed at ensuring greater flexibility in the product line over the next decade.
