Suzuki eVitara: the brand's first electric car with all-wheel drive, a wide range of trim levels and a 10-year warranty

Suzuki entered the electric car market with the eVitara, the first all-electric car in the brand's history. The new product is available in several versions and is aimed at buyers looking for an affordable solution with modern technologies and extended warranty obligations.

The basic version of the eVitara Motion with front-wheel drive is equipped with a 49 kWh battery. The cost of this configuration is less than 30,000 pounds (about 40,421 US dollars). The car is designed for daily city trips and short trips out of town.

For those who are interested in an increased power reserve and improved performance, there are versions with a battery capacity of 61 kWh. These modifications are available with both front-wheel drive and the ALLGRIP-e all-wheel drive system, which uses two electric motors for better traction and driving stability.

  • eVitara Motion 61 kWh with front-wheel drive is offered for 32,999 pounds (about 44,457 dollars).
  • The eVitara Ultra ALLGRIP-e 4WD with the same battery costs 37,799 pounds (about $ 50,912).

The ALLGRIP-e all — wheel drive system is a new development from Suzuki for electric vehicles. It provides optimal traction distribution between the axles and increases stability on slippery surfaces. According to the manufacturer, this system significantly improves the handling and safety of the car in difficult road conditions.

Accurate power reserve and charging time data will be announced closer to the start of official deliveries. It is expected that models with a 49 kWh battery will be able to cover about 300 km on a single charge on the WLTP cycle, and versions with a 61 kWh battery-up to 400 km, depending on the selected configuration and driving style.

Suzuki paid special attention to reliability issues. The eVitara is guaranteed for 10 years or 100,000 miles of mileage, both on the car itself and on its battery pack. This is one of the most generous warranty offers in the mass-market electric vehicle segment.

Suzuki positions the eVitara as a practical and affordable electric crossover aimed at a wide audience. The model is aimed at gaining positions in the compact electric SUV segment, offering an attractive price, technology and warranty ratio.

Detailed technical specifications, configuration data, and a full list of options will become available as the official launch date approaches and deliveries to customers begin.
