Sony announced the start of sales of the BRAVIA 8 II series of TVs, which were introduced in the spring. New products are already available in the Indian market. The 55-inch K-55XR80M2 model costs about $ 2,800, while the 65-inch K-65XR80M2 model costs almost $ 4,000.
The TVs are made in the signature Slim One Slate design with a flat back panel and a stain-resistant coating. Both versions are equipped with OLED displays with a resolution of 4K UHD (3840 × 2160 pixels) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Sony XR processor is responsible for image processing, which uses artificial intelligence technologies to analyze the scene and dynamically adjust parameters to achieve the best image quality. OLED panels control the brightness of each pixel individually.
The models support HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision, and IMAX Enhanced standards. XR Triluminos Max and XR Contrast Booster 25 technologies enhance brightness and contrast, allowing you to keep the image sharp even when viewing from a large angle. The Acoustic Surface Audio+ system includes two speakers and two subwoofers built into the screen. The power of the sound system is 50 watts. Dolby Atmos support provides immersive spatial sound.
BRAVIA 8 II offers a wide range of features for gamers. Supports 4K output at 120 frames per second, variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Automatic Low latency mode (ALLM), and auto-tune HDR tones for the PlayStation 5. The game menu lets you quickly adjust VRR settings and motion settings.
The TVs are equipped with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, four HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB ports, as well as LAN, RF and optical input. The devices run on Android TV with the Google TV interface. A built-in microphone is provided for voice control. Accessibility features include on-screen announcer, audio description, color inversion, hidden subtitles, and the ability to zoom in on text.
Sony is targeting the BRAVIA 8 II series in the premium home appliance segment, combining cutting-edge image and sound technology with state-of-the-art gaming and multimedia features.
