HKC announces the world's first monitor with 800 Hz refresh rate and QD-VA MiniLED panel

HKC has introduced the world's first mass-produced monitor with an 800 Hz refresh rate, making it a unique display offering for gamers and professionals alike. According to the manufacturer, we are talking about the actual refresh rate of the panel, and not about the value achieved by artificial methods such as overclocking or frame interpolation.

The model is equipped with a new generation panel made using QD-VA MiniLED technology. The display is based on an ultra-high-frequency a-Si HyperSilicon driver and an HKC FSA VA panel. Illumination is implemented using MiniLED with a division into 1152 local dimming zones. Color reproduction is provided by a cadmium-free film with QDEF quantum dots. This combination of technologies allows the monitor to demonstrate high levels of brightness and contrast, as well as high-quality color display.

The monitor offers a peak brightness of up to 1200 cd / m2, a static contrast ratio of 4000: 1, and a 10-bit color representation. The color gamut reaches 95% of the DCI-P3 space, which makes the model suitable not only for games, but also for tasks related to professional color correction and video production.

The claimed resolution is Full HD, but the visual materials of the manufacturer indicate the use of an ultra-wide panel with an aspect ratio of 21: 9 and an actual resolution of 2560 × 1080 pixels with a diagonal of 24 inches. This provides a wide viewing angle and additional space for working with multiple applications or advanced game interfaces.

The launch of such a high-frequency monitor places serious demands on the hardware. Even the most productive modern video cards, including the expected GeForce RTX 6090, can have difficulty ensuring stable image output at this frequency in modern games.

HKC has not yet disclosed the cost and timing of the start of sales of the new monitor. It is expected that details about the availability and regional versions of the model will be announced later.
