On June 17, 2025, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bahromjon Aloyev held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uzbekistan Mohammadali Iskandari.
During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for expanding cooperation in a number of key areas. Political dialogue, the development of trade and economic ties, joint initiatives in the transport and logistics sector, as well as projects in the field of culture, humanitarian cooperation and tourism were in the center of attention.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on topical issues of the regional agenda. Special attention was paid to issues related to supporting efforts for a peaceful settlement of the situation in the Middle East.
