Chery unveils Tiggo 7 Plus 2026: An Affordable crossover with state-of-the-art Technology for $ 12,800

Chery has launched sales of the updated Tiggo 7 Plus crossover for the 2026 model year, which, together with the Tiggo 7 Sport version, is aimed at buyers in the affordable car segment. In China, the starting price of the Tiggo 7 Plus is 91,900 yuan (about $ 12,800), while the basic version of the Tiggo 7 Sport starts at 87,900 yuan (about $ 12,250).

The new Tiggo 7 Plus is powered by a 1.5-liter 156bhp petrol engine, which is paired with a nine-speed CVT CVT. Externally, the crossover is distinguished by a branded radiator grille with a diamond-shaped Chery pattern, traditional door handles and LED taillights made in the form of a solid strip across the width of the body.

The interior features a dual 24.6-inch display that combines a digital dashboard and multimedia system. Tiggo 7 Plus received the LION 5.0 infotainment system, and black and brown color schemes are available for interior trim. In the top-end versions, options such as electric adjustment and ventilation of the front passenger seat, electric tailgate drive, panoramic sunroof and side safety curtains are provided.

The model is aimed at buyers looking for a modern crossover with good basic equipment at an affordable price. Sales in China have already started, and the company's export plans will be announced later.
