Adobe has introduced the Firefly mobile app, making proprietary generative models of artificial intelligence available to iOS and Android users. The app is already available on the App Store and Google Play and is aimed at professionals, content creators, and developers of innovative solutions.
Initially, Firefly technology was offered as part of the Adobe Creative Cloud package and as a web version. The mobile version expands the possibilities of working with artificial intelligence, allowing you to create and edit visual content directly from your smartphone.
The main functionality of the app includes:
- generate commercially safe, high-resolution images based on a text description;
- image editing tools, including adding new elements, replacing backgrounds, and deleting objects;
- create a video based on a text request with the specified resolution and aspect ratio parameters;
- convert AI-generated images to videos with smooth transitions and cinematic effects;
- animation of static images provided by the user;
- AI - video editing to remove distracting elements, improve color reproduction, and adjust details.
Users are offered a choice between proprietary generative models of Adobe Firefly and partner solutions — among them OpenAI, Google Imagen 3 and 4, Ideogram 3.0, Flux 1.1 Pro and Gen-4 from Runway.
All created images and videos are automatically synced to your Adobe Creative Cloud account. Creative Cloud subscription holders can use basic Firefly features as part of their pricing plans. Access to a number of AI capabilities requires the use of Firefly generative credits — a token-based system that was introduced by the company in 2023.
