The FAW-Volkswagen joint venture has announced a facelift of the Volkswagen Bora sedan for the 2025 model year. The car received an updated appearance with an increased number of chrome elements, in particular on the radiator grille. In the cabin of all versions, two 8-inch screens are now installed — a digital instrument panel and a multimedia system display.
Standard equipment includes a tire pressure monitoring system, front airbags for the driver and passenger, rear parking sensors and cruise control. On versions with 1.2 - and 1.4-liter turbo engines, the traditional 200TSI and 280TSI designations have disappeared from the rear of the body. Minor changes also affected the design of the exhaust system.
Dimensions of the sedan are 4672 × 1815 × 1478 mm with a wheelbase of 2688 mm. The powertrain range includes three variants: a 1.2-liter turbo engine with a power output of 114 hp, a 1.4-liter engine with a return of 148 hp and a new 1.5-liter engine with a power output of 160 hp. The basic versions are equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission. More expensive versions received a 7-speed robotic transmission with two clutches. There is no traditional "vending machine" in the line.
The cost of the Volkswagen Bora 2025 varies from 112.9 to 143.9 thousand yuan (approximately 15.7-20 thousand dollars). The model is focused on the segment of affordable sedans with modern features and updated design.
