Volkswagen presents T-Roc 2025 for the Chinese market: high price and basic equipment

FAW-Volkswagen has unveiled the updated Volkswagen T-Roc crossover for the 2025 model year. The novelty goes on sale at a price starting from 169.9 thousand yuan (about 23.7 thousand US dollars) for the basic version, and the cost of the top-end configuration reaches 178.7 thousand yuan (about 24.9 thousand dollars). For the Chinese market, these prices put the T-Roc on a par with higher-end cars that offer powerful engines and richer equipment.

Dimensions of the crossover are 4336 × 1819 × 1592 mm, wheelbase — 2680 mm. Under the hood is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 160 hp, which is paired with a 7-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches.

The interior of the T-Roc 2025 has two screens: a 10.3-inch digital dashboard and a 9.2-inch multimedia system display. The Starlight Edition features second-level driver assistance systems and heated steering wheels. The Chenguang Edition is equipped with adaptive cruise control. At the same time, the dimming of the interior mirror is adjusted manually, which is not typical for a model in this price segment.

The Volkswagen T-Roc 2025 is aimed at buyers who appreciate modern design and brand style, but the price-performance ratio is controversial among experts in the Chinese market.
