Tesla is preparing to launch the robotaxi service: the launch may take place next week

Tesla may launch its first robotaxi service as early as next week. This was announced by Dima Zenyuk, an employee of the company. Previously, the industry mentioned the date of June 22, 2025 as a possible start date for a new project.

According to Elon Musk, the current version of the autopilot Full Self-Driving (FSD) demonstrates the ability to confidently cope with any road situations without the driver's participation. At the initial stage, the service will operate on the basis of existing Tesla models with active autopilot. In the future, it is planned to use new Cybercab electric vehicles designed specifically for the service.

Tesla's statistics indicate a high level of system safety: 0.15 accidents per million miles, which is significantly lower than the competitors ' indicators. For comparison, the same indicator for Waymo is 1.16 accidents, and the average level in the United States is 3.9.
