Samsung has started distributing the June security patch for smartphones of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S21 FE lines. The update addresses 19 vulnerabilities in the One UI shell and a number of Android components.
For the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra models (catalog numbers SM-S911N, SM-S916N, SM-S918N), the update was released in the South Korean market. The build numbers are S911NKSS6DYE5, S916NKSS6DYE5, and S918NKSS6DYE5. The package size is 443 MB.
Galaxy S21 FE received an update in Europe and Russia. For devices with catalog numbers SM-G990B and SM-G990B2, the assembly numbers are designated as G990BXXSEHYF1 and G990B2XXSDHYF1, respectively.
For the Galaxy S24 line, the patch is available in the European market. The build numbers are S921BXXS4BYEC for Galaxy S24 (SM-S921B), S926BXXS4BYEC for Galaxy S24 Plus (SM-S926B), and S928BXXS4BYEC for Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928B). The update size is 474 MB.
The patch addresses a number of critical vulnerabilities, including exploits that allowed attackers to access data in the Samsung Cloud for Galaxy Watch and take unauthorized screenshots on these devices. A number of high-risk vulnerabilities in Android have also been closed, and additional fixes have been implemented for devices with Samsung single-chip systems.
