The network has received images of the new DJI Osmo Nano action camera, which can become an important novelty in the segment of compact cameras for shooting from the first person. Photos of the device posted on Chinese social networks and shared by insider Quadro_News show a miniature camera with a modular design and magnetic mount, similar in concept to the Insta360 Go 3S.
Osmo Nano is fixed in the pictures in the position when it is attached to clothing with a magnet. Judging by the leaks, the device may be equipped with an additional module with a screen for cropping and viewing footage. The camera stands out for its compact size and is clearly focused on first-person shooting and use in dynamic environments.
The Osmo Nano model is seen as a new attempt by DJI to offer the market a modular action camera after the debut of DJI Action 2 in 2021. Previously, Action 2 faced criticism due to problems with overheating, poor performance in low light conditions and limited water resistance. Osmo Nano, judging by the images, is aimed at improving the convenience and reliability of operation. Microphones can be seen on the camera body, which suggests support for wireless systems such as the DJI Mic Mini-a feature that wasn't present in Action 2.
Technical specifications of the Osmo Nano, including shooting resolution, stabilization parameters and autonomy, have not yet been disclosed. However, the leaked form factor of the device confirms DJI's commitment to creating a compact tool for bloggers and active users who value mobility and ease of use.
According to preliminary data, the announcement of Osmo Nano may take place in July. In the same period, the presentation of the first 360-degree camera company DJI is expected.
