As of May 1, 2025, 377,833 active small businesses were registered in the country, excluding farmers and dehkan farms. This is evidenced by the data of the National Statistics Committee. Since the beginning of the year, their number has increased by 19,717 units.
The largest concentration of small businesses is located in the capital. 88,883 subjects are concentrated in the city of Tashkent, which is 23.5% of the total number in the republic.
The following positions are occupied by Tashkent region — 36,619 units, Samarkand region-32,901 units, Ferghana region-29,523 units. Kashkadarya region has 23,554 regions, Bukhara — 23,545, and Khorezm — 21,477.
20,933 small businesses are registered in Andijan region, 20,866 in Namangan region, and 20,182 in Surkhandarya region. There are 18,194 active entities in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. In Navoi region-17,071, in Jizzakh region — 14,682, in Syrdarya region — 9,403.
The data reflect the active development of small businesses in the largest economic and administrative centers of the country.
