Tashkent International Commercial Court new legal infrastructure

On the second day of the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum, a number of key events were held, including a panel session dedicated to the establishment of the Tashkent International Commercial Court (TICC), as well as business meetings with representatives of the Omani private sector aimed at developing cooperation in the field of digital technologies and supporting startups.

The session "International Dispute Resolution in Uzbekistan: Tashkent International Commercial Court" was devoted to presenting the concept of an independent institute for resolving international commercial conflicts. International and national experts participated in the discussion, including: Hertu Doibler-Gmelin (Global Neighbours), Naseer bin Mohsen Al-Adbu (Omani & Partners), John Zaidi (ACWA Power), Islambek Rustambekov (Tashkent State Law University), Diana Baizakova (Tashkent International Arbitration Center) and Jamshida Urunova (Office of the Commissioner for Entrepreneurs ' Rights).

The moderator was a consultant Enterprise Uzbek Мари-Энн Биркен. During the session, it was noted that the initiative to create TICC It is enshrined in the Law on the International Center for Digital Technologies and is aimed at creating a modern judicial infrastructure that meets international standards.

Key aspects were discussed: independence of the judicial body, transparency of processes, the ability to conduct proceedings in English, online access to the process and international recognition of decisions. The participants stressed that the effective operation of the TICC will be an important factor of confidence on the part of foreign investors and improve the investment climate in the country.

Deepening cooperation with Oman: focus on SMEs and startups

The Ministry of Digital Technologies held talks with the delegation of Oman headed by Kalim Mohamed Salim, Director General of the Ministry of Digital Technologies. Harweel Integrated and a member of the Banking and Finance Committee of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. On behalf of Uzbekistan, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Olimjon Umarov and Director of Startup and Investment Development at the IT Park of Uzbekistan Elyor Maksudov took part in the dialogue.

The discussion focused on the development of the IT ecosystem, digital technology reforms, and prospects for attracting Omani investment. The parties agreed to create a joint working group, launch an acceleration program for early support of startups, and provide bilateral assistance in entering the markets of both countries.

High C-Level Digital Connect: Digital Leadership and Integration

A separate event of the second day was High C-Level Digital Connectorganized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies, IT Park Uzbekistan and the company DataVolt. The meeting brought together representatives of government agencies, business and international ICT companies.

Among the participants — Olimjon Umarov (Ministry of Digital Resources of Uzbekistan), Abdulakhad Kuchkarov (IT Park), Muhammad Khalil (Startup Garage), Elena Onyakova (Legrand), Ahsen Said (ACWA Power), Hussein J.. Al Novais (AMEA Power), Bekzod Sanalulov (Zeppelin Power Systems CAT).
The event became a platform for exchanging strategic ideas and building new partnerships in the digital sector. Trends in the development of data centers, digital transformation of business and cross-border ICT cooperation were discussed.

The events of the second day of the forum confirmed the priority course of Uzbekistan towards the development of legal, investment and technological infrastructure focused on global standards and international cooperation.
