Uzbekistan demonstrates investment and technological potential at the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum

Within the framework of the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum, two key international events were held-the Uzbek-American and Uzbek-Slovak business forums. The meetings brought together representatives of government agencies and more than 100 foreign companies, becoming an important platform for promoting the investment potential of Uzbekistan and strengthening international cooperation.
Presenting the potential of the IT sector
During the forum, IT Park Uzbekistan presented its own exhibition stand, demonstrating the capabilities of Uzbekistan in the field of information technology. Special attention was paid to the advantages of jurisdiction for companies providing IT services (ITeS), including ready-made infrastructure, tax incentives and state support.
Focus on strategic partnership with the United States
The Uzbek-American business forum focused on the development of cooperation in the field of high technologies, industry, finance and education. Among the participants are representatives of such multinational companies as Boeing, Visa, SpaceX, Morgan Stanley, HP, Coca-Cola, John Deere, GE Healthcare, Medtronic and others.
General Director of IT Park Uzbekistan Abdulakhad Kuchkarov presented a presentation on the country's IT potential to foreign delegates, emphasizing Uzbekistan's readiness to become a reliable partner for companies interested in office placement and outsourcing.
According to IT Park, in 2025, there is an increase in key indicators of interaction with American companies. Exports of IT services to the United States in the first quarter amounted to $ 68.8 million, and for the whole of 2024 — $ 212.2 million, which confirms the stability of foreign economic activity.
To date, 353 IT Park residents are focused on exporting to the United States, compared to 349 a year earlier. These companies provide employment for 10,343 specialists (against 9,755 in 2024). The number of companies with American capital also increased — from 49 to 55, including such international brands as EPAM, Vention, and Exadel. Together, they created 1,928 jobs, which is 270 more than last year.
Strengthening ties with Slovakia
The Uzbek-Slovak Business Forum was followed by the official opening ceremony of which was attended by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico. The event was attended by over 50 representatives of Slovak businesses working in the fields of mechanical engineering, agriculture, energy, ICT, construction and consulting.
Speaking at the forum, Abdulakhad Kuchkarov He noted the potential of Uzbekistan for international outsourcing and technology companies. In his presentation, he emphasized the availability of qualified personnel, a flexible regulatory environment and opportunities for collaboration in the field of digitalization and innovation.
"Uzbekistan is becoming a point of attraction for the European IT business. We are open to dialogue and invite Slovak companies to joint projects in the field of software engineering, outsourcing and digital education, " said the head of IT Park.
Within the framework of the forum, a memorandum of understanding was signed between IT Park and the Slovak Agency for Investment and Trade Development (SARIO). The document provides for cooperation in the field of IT outsourcing and promotion of IT companies in both countries. The parties agreed to work together to attract investors, support startups and organize industry events.
Dynamics of exports to the EU and the UK
Cooperation with the European Union and the United Kingdom is also showing positive dynamics. To date, 269 IT Park residents export IT services to these regions, providing employment for more than 13,000 specialists. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, the volume of exports amounted to $ 31.4 million, which indicates a steadily growing interest in Uzbekistan's IT offerings.
International positioning
IT Park continues to actively work on integration into the global technology ecosystem. Participation in international forums, the development of partnerships with leading American and European companies, and the growth of export indicators confirm that Uzbekistan is becoming an important player on the global innovation map.
