Honor announced a budget smartphone X6c with basic characteristics and an emphasis on autonomy

Honor has announced a new entry-level smartphone-the X6c model, aimed at users with basic needs and a limited budget. The cost of the device is $140, while it offers a balanced set of characteristics without frankly weak or critical limitations.

The smartphone is equipped with a 6.6-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel does not claim to be the flagship image quality, but it provides stable color reproduction and acceptable smoothness of the interface in its class.

The X6c is based on a single-chip MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra system. The chip is focused on everyday tasks, such as instant messengers, web surfing, and basic multimedia functions, but it is not designed for resource-intensive applications and games. The amount of memory can reach up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory, which remains a rarity in this price category.

The model received a 5300 mAh battery with support for 35-watt fast charging. This is one of the main factors affecting everyday convenience, especially when the device is actively used during the day.

The main camera is a 50-megapixel module without specifying additional sensors. The smartphone also received an IP64 dust and splash protection rating and a dedicated button for launching a voice AI assistant, which can be useful in hands-free scenarios.
