Ayaneo has announced a new portable video game console Flip 1S DS, featuring an unusual design with two displays and powerful hardware stuffing. The device is made in the form factor of a miniature laptop, visually referring to the design of the iconic Nintendo DS console. However, unlike it, the novelty runs on Windows and is focused on running standard PC games.
The main display of the device is a seven-inch OLED panel with Full HD resolution and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The second screen is a 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 800p, located below, on the lower half of the case. Despite the external similarity with the Nintendo DS, where games actively used both screens, Flip 1S DS works as a full-fledged Windows computer, and the additional display will be useful more for auxiliary tasks than for gameplay.
Inside the device is the latest Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with integrated Radeon 890M graphics, which makes the console one of the most productive in its class. It is also known that the console is equipped with an active cooling system and two USB4 ports. Other technical specifications have not yet been disclosed, as well as the cost of the device.
The sales start date and price range remain unknown. Ayaneo promises to reveal more information closer to the launch.
