On June 9, 2025, the Uzbek-Slovak Business Forum was held in the capital of Uzbekistan — a significant event within the framework of the IV Tashkent International Investment Forum. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shchokhrukh Gulamov.
The Forum has become an important platform for deepening economic ties and establishing new formats of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Slovakia. The participants discussed the prospects for developing partnership in a number of strategic areas, including industry, energy, transport infrastructure and the agro-industrial complex.
Slovak businesses show a steady interest in the Uzbek market. Companies such as AZC, OFZ, Rokosan, Matador and others specializing in the automotive, metallurgy, infrastructure construction, agriculture, food processing and energy sectors were represented at the forum.
The business program ended with the signing of a number of bilateral agreements. In total, 15 joint projects covering key sectors of the economy were approved: mechanical engineering, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, transport, construction materials production, agriculture, energy, IT, healthcare and metallurgy.
Holding such events demonstrates the growing investment attractiveness of Uzbekistan and the country's desire to strengthen international economic ties. The Uzbek-Slovak Business Forum was another step in creating a solid foundation for long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation.
