The Institute of Criminological Research of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a seminar on "Attracting investment and foreign grants in science and innovation". The organizer was the Agency for Innovative Development. The event was aimed at increasing the institutional readiness of research institutions to interact with international donors and investors.
The key goal of the seminar is to expand the opportunities of domestic scientific organizations to attract funding from foreign sources, activate international partnership, and form portfolios of promising projects that meet modern requirements.
Within the framework of the event, practical aspects of attracting foreign investment and grant funds, issues of reflecting disbursed funding in official statistics, as well as procedures for preparing and promoting projects to international competition sites were considered.
Special attention was paid to building effective communications with foreign organizations-from drawing up lists of target structures to organizing meetings and submitting project applications. The participants were also provided with recommendations on how to interact with international consultants and experts.
According to the organizers, such events contribute to the systematic development of the scientific environment of Uzbekistan and increase its integration into global research and innovation processes.
