On June 7, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of foreign investors, which included Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Management Board of Al Mirqab Capital, and Adebayo Ogunlesi, Senior Managing Director of BlackRock Investment Company.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of bilateral investment cooperation, as well as the possibility of implementing long-term projects in Uzbekistan. Infrastructure and industrial initiatives within the framework of public-private partnership mechanisms were identified as priority areas.
Projects in the field of modernization of gas and electricity supply systems, water supply, construction of power generation and storage facilities, as well as the development of high - speed railway infrastructure were considered. In addition, they discussed plans for the construction of residential and commercial facilities, as well as the formation of a modern business infrastructure.
Following the talks, an agreement was reached to develop a joint roadmap for the systematic promotion of investment initiatives and coordination of further actions in the framework of promising projects.
