The Yandex Go service has received a major update: a new functional section called "Hub" has become available to users, combining all types of city trips — from taxis and buses to the metro, scooters and car sharing. This was reported by the press service of the company.
Now all available options for getting around the city are collected in one app window, without having to switch between different tabs or services. The Hub allows you to set routes based on travel time, cost, number of transfers, and traffic congestion. Users can choose the fastest, most profitable, or most convenient route based on the number of pedestrian sections.
After choosing the appropriate option, the passenger can immediately call a taxi, rent a scooter, or use car sharing in the Hub — without switching to other screens. Thus, Yandex Go becomes a full-fledged platform for everyday mobility.
The company notes that in the near future, multi-modal routes will appear in the Hub, which will combine different types of transport. For example, a user can plan a subway ride with a transfer by taxi or scooter and pay for it with a single receipt directly in the app.
By the end of 2025, it is also planned to introduce:
- Possibility to purchase public transport passes;
- Adding funds to physical transport cards;
- Issue of virtual travel cards that can be used via a smartphone.
The new Hub system is designed to simplify city navigation, make city travel more convenient and efficient, and offer users the most flexible and personalized route possible. The update is already available in the current version of the Yandex Go app.
