A delegation of the Syrdarya region of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Khokim Shokhrukh Isokulov conducted a working visit to the People's Republic of China aimed at expanding strategic partnership and developing direct investment ties. As a result of the visit, specific agreements were reached in the fields of energy, industry, technological investment and tourism, which will help stimulate the socio-economic development of the region.
The first point of the visit was a meeting in Shenzhen with the management of National Energy Group Capital Holding Co., Ltd.. The main focus was on the prospects for the development of renewable energy sources in the Syrdarya region, including the construction of small hydroelectric power plants, wind and solar installations. Issues of improving energy efficiency and implementing environmentally sustainable solutions at the regional level were discussed.
The next step was negotiations with Tus-Holdings Co., Ltd., where the parties considered the possibilities of creating technology parks, implementing start-up projects and supporting youth entrepreneurship initiatives. Plans were formulated to attract high-tech investments and integrate the region into global science and innovation chains.
In Dongguan, negotiations were held with representatives of the Derucci Furniture Corporation. They discussed the creation of a production cluster for the production of furniture in the Syrdarya region, including localization of production capacities and cost optimization up to 30-40% due to state preferences. The company announced its intention to send a delegation to Uzbekistan to assess the conditions on site.
Dongguan also hosted a business forum under the motto "Develop business in the Syr Darya", organized with the participation of more than 30 Chinese companies. The forum presented the investment environment of the region, including tax and customs benefits, as well as the tourism potential of the region.
The key outcome of the visit was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Expert Investment Support LLC and the Chinese Dongguan Nancheng Qiganti AI Technology Center. The document provides for the establishment of a trade representative office, which will contribute to the expansion of trade, economic, scientific and technical ties between Uzbekistan and China.
"The visit to China was an important milestone for the Syrdarya region. We not only presented the potential of the region, but also recorded specific agreements with a number of key Chinese players," said Deputy Khokim Shokhrukh Isokulov.
"The interest in our region confirms the relevance of the chosen development vector, focused on innovation, industrialization and international partnership."
It is expected that the agreements reached will become an incentive for modernizing the industrial sector, increasing employment and strengthening the export potential of Syrdarya region in the coming years.
