Ferghana and Beijing strengthen cooperation: a $20 million agreement was signed between the Chinese delegation and an IT Park resident

Khokim of the region Khairullo Bozorov held an official meeting with a delegation from the Shuni district of Beijing in the city of Vodil, Ferghana region. The Chinese side included representatives of the administration and business circles. The talks were held at the Kabullar Uyi residence and became another step towards strengthening Uzbek-Chinese interregional ties.

During the meeting, issues of expanding mutually beneficial partnership in the fields of economy, industry, investment and information technology were discussed. It was noted that thanks to the consistent political dialogue, bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and China have moved to a new strategic level, direct contacts between the regions have intensified, and dozens of promising projects are being implemented.

The Ferghana side provided the delegation with detailed information on the investment potential of the region, new infrastructure opportunities and conditions for foreign investors. The Chinese delegation, in turn, expressed interest in establishing partnerships in the automotive industry, electrical engineering, tourism and digital technologies. These areas were recognized as priorities for the development of joint initiatives.

Khokim Khairullo Bozorov expressed readiness to support the proposed projects, noting that advanced technologies and experience of Chinese partners can bring real benefits for the development of the region. Following the talks, the parties agreed to develop a roadmap, form joint working groups and implement measures to further expand cooperation.

The key result of the meeting was the signing of a contract worth 20 million US dollars between the People's Government of Mapo village in Shuni district and the Ferghana IT company Innotech Solutions, which is a resident of IT Park. According to the agreement, the Chinese side will implement software developed in Uzbekistan in its infrastructure, which has become an important step in promoting domestic digital solutions to the international market.

The signing of the agreement confirms the growing role of Uzbekistan in technological cooperation with China and demonstrates the high interest of foreign partners in Uzbek developments in the field of IT and innovation.
