The final event of the national stage of the contest “Technovation Girls Uzbekistan 2025” — the largest STEM program in the country aimed at developing technological education among girls-was held in Tashkent, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The initiative was implemented by the non-governmental organization Tech4Impact with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Digital Education Development Center and the company “Yandex Uzbekistan”.
The event was attended by Director of the Research Institute for the Development of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence Alisher Kadyrov, who made a speech about the growing participation of women in the IT sector. He also noted the active involvement of girls in the study and application of artificial intelligence technologies, emphasizing the importance of gender balance in the digital transformation of the country.
The contest participants presented innovative projects in a number of relevant areas: from mobile applications and solutions based on artificial intelligence to digital platforms designed to support people with disabilities, as well as initiatives in the field of ecology, safety, education and social inclusion.
The event also established partnerships with program coordinators and mentors from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. As a result of the final, 15 teams were awarded with special awards from partner organizations.
The Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan has selected three most promising projects. All participants of these teams received certificates for training in paid courses of the Coursera educational platform in the amount of $ 400. Among the winners:
- NovaCore (Bullify) - project in the field of artificial intelligence, healthcare and gender equality (Tashkent);
- CodiQueens (GrantFinder) - development in the field of education and culture (Namangan region);
- AlphaGals (Job Hub) - a solution for reducing unemployment and poverty (Khorezm region).
The Technovation Girls program continues to encourage girls ' participation in technology initiatives, shaping a new generation of leaders in Uzbekistan's digital future.
