In the summer of 2025, Kazakhstan will launch the first commercial sovereign artificial intelligence factory in Central Asia. The project is implemented by the national telecom operator Kazakhtelecom JSC in partnership with NVIDIA, the world leader in high — performance computing technologies.
The AI factory will run on the latest NVIDIA H200 GPUs, providing 56.4 petaflops of processing power. This will allow us to process massive amounts of data and train complex AI models applicable in key sectors of the economy — from finance and construction to the mining and oil and gas industries.
Strategic objectives of the project include:
strengthening the country's digital sovereignty,
creating a cloud-based AI service platform for government agencies, businesses, startups, and the scientific community,
development of local expertise and promotion of national innovations,
integration with Kazakhtelecom's network infrastructure to ensure scalability and stable operation.
A new generation AI platform is designed to become the technological core of Kazakhstan's digital transformation. The implementation of the project marks the country's transition to independent development and implementation of AI solutions focused on national interests and tasks.
