Bill Gates said that after the AI revolution, only three areas will remain in demand

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates made a forecast about the transformation of the labor market under the influence of the rapid development of artificial intelligence. In his opinion, in the coming decades, the vast majority of professions may disappear or radically change, and only three areas will remain in demand: energy, biology, and the development of AI systems themselves.

According to Gates, automating routine tasks and implementing AI in various areas of activity will lead to a significant reduction in standard work responsibilities. However, he believes that this will open up new perspectives for humanity-it will allow us to focus on tasks where critical thinking, ingenuity and a deep understanding of processes are important.

"Artificial intelligence can reduce the amount of work of the same type and free up time for truly significant tasks. People will be able to engage in activities that require a non-standard approach, empathy and learning ability, " Gates said.

The fields of energy and life sciences, in his opinion, will play a key role in the future. These industries require not only technical training, but also a high level of flexibility, ethical thinking, and emotional intelligence. This is especially true for medicine, biotechnologies and the development of new energy sources-areas in which human participation will remain indispensable.

Gates paid special attention to programming and digital literacy. He stressed that the ability to interact with technology, create and train AI models will be a crucial factor in professional sustainability. "Programming skills and an understanding of digital systems are the key to the future. This knowledge will be necessary regardless of the field of activity, " he said.

In addition, Gates expressed confidence that artificial intelligence will radically change the approach to education in the next 5-10 years. He expects that learning will become more personalized, adaptive and efficient, thanks to the ability of AI to adapt to the individual needs of students.

However, the billionaire's speech was accompanied by a warning. He recalled the serious risks associated with the introduction of AI: a possible increase in unemployment, increased social inequality, as well as the urgent need for ethical and legal regulatory mechanisms. Gates called for the development of a fair strategy for the transition to the AI era, including government programs to retrain and support vulnerable groups.

Summing up, Bill Gates emphasized that in a world controlled by machines, it is the human imagination, learning ability and adaptation to new conditions that will remain the main factors of survival and development.
