On May 28, 2025, a practical training for representatives of the media community was held in Tashkent, dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence in modern journalism. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Media Support Fund.
The training was attended by journalists, editors and managers of various media outlets. Participants had the opportunity to discuss the impact of new digital technologies on the media environment, as well as practical aspects of integrating AI into editorial processes, including data analysis, automated news content creation, content personalization, and the fight against misinformation.
During the meeting, Adviser to the Minister of Digital Technologies Kamola Sobirova gave a detailed overview of current initiatives in the field of digitalization, spoke about the latest projects and steps taken by the state to turn Uzbekistan into a regional center of the IT industry. She stressed the importance of active participation of the media community in digital transformation and outlined the prospects for the introduction of AI as one of the drivers of industry development.
They also discussed promising areas of cooperation between government agencies and the media, including launching new joint projects, developing the competencies of journalists, and participating in future educational and professional programs.
