Uzbekistan and Henan Investment Group agree on joint projects in industry and green energy

On May 29, 2025, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced the signing of an agreement with one of the leading Chinese investment companies — Henan Investment Group. The document sets out agreements on expanding strategic cooperation in key sectors, including: industrial production and development of green energy.

According to the official statement, the parties intend to proceed with joint implementation of major investment projectsprojects aimed at the construction of new production facilities, modernization of existing enterprises and introduction of environmentally friendly technologies. Priority is given to development initiatives renewable energy sourcesincluding solar and wind power plants, with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.

Henan Investment Group's participation in these initiatives reflects the growing interest of Chinese businesses in long-term cooperation with Uzbekistan. It is emphasized that the partnership also includes: transfer of technologies and advanced engineering experienceThis will be a significant step towards technological modernization of the Uzbek economy.

It is expected that the implementation of the projects will create new jobs, will speed up development regional infrastructure and it will give an additional boost building export capacity Uzbekistan. Special attention will be paid to environmental standards and the implementation of sustainable development principles at all stages of project implementation.

The agreement with Henan Investment Group was another confirmation of the strategic course of Uzbekistan to attracting foreign direct investmenteconomic diversification and active integration into global value chains.
