Uzbekistan plans to implement 312 projects in the construction industry worth $2.4 billion by the end of 2025

On May 19, 2025, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting at which measures for further development of the construction industry, in particular, the production of building materials, were considered. During the discussion, a program for implementing 312 investment projects by the end of this year totaling $ 2.4 billion was presented.

It is expected that the implementation of these projects will significantly increase production capacity, create about 16 thousand new jobs, increase the production of construction materials to 53 trillion soums,and increase the export of products to $ 1.2 billion. The program covers a wide range of areas, including the production of cement, bricks, glass, ceramics and other types of construction products that are in high demand in the domestic and foreign markets.

In order to increase transparency and quality in the construction materials market, the President instructed to create a national register of manufacturers, which will be integrated into the Shaffof Qurilish digital platform. This system will allow you to monitor product compliance with established standards, track production chains and strengthen control at all stages of construction.

Special attention in the development program is paid to the introduction of modern scientific approaches, geological exploration and improving the energy efficiency of production processes. It is planned to actively cooperate with research institutes, as well as introduce new technologies aimed at reducing production costs and improving the environmental sustainability of production.

The President stressed the importance of ensuring stable supplies of construction materials to the domestic market, especially in the context of large-scale housing and infrastructure construction that is being carried out throughout the country. The new initiatives will become an important component of the strategy of sustainable economic growth, modernization of the construction industry and increasing the competitiveness of Uzbekistan in the international arena.
