Uzbekistan presents "Garden of Knowledge" pavilion at the World Exhibition Expo 2025 in Osaka

On May 16, 2025, the pavilion of Uzbekistan at the World Exhibition Expo 2025 officially opened in Osaka, Japan. The architectural object, called the "Garden of Knowledge", reflects the country's desire to combine historical heritage with modern technological and environmental approaches. The project was designed by the renowned German architectural firm ATELIER BRÜCKNER and is made using eco-friendly natural materials, focusing on the balance between tradition and progress.

The two-story structure of the pavilion symbolizes the philosophy of sustainable development, while each area of the exhibition is aimed at revealing key areas of transformation in Uzbekistan. Visitors are presented with multimedia installations that tell about the country's achievements in education, innovative technologies, science, environmental protection and the revival of cultural heritage.

Special attention is paid to national initiatives to restore the Aral Sea ecosystem, one of the largest environmental projects in the region. In addition, the concept of “New Tashkent” — an ambitious urban development project aimed at creating a sustainable and modern urban environment-also plays an important role.

The pavilion not only presents the country's achievements, but also conveys its commitment to open dialogue, international cooperation and environmental responsibility. Once Expo 2025 is complete, the pavilion will be completely dismantled and the materials used will be recycled, underscoring Uzbekistan's commitment to environmental awareness and a cyclical economy.

Participation in Expo 2025 in Osaka provides Uzbekistan with a unique opportunity to showcase the results of recent reforms and transformations to the world, as well as strengthen cultural and economic ties with partners around the world.
