Uzbekistan and Mongolia discuss development of cooperation in tourism

On May 13, 2025, Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan Umid Shadiyev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Uzbekistan Batbaatar Daadanhuu and Consul General of Mongolia in Tashkent Batbold Enkhbayar in Tashkent. During the talks, the sides discussed issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of exchanging experience in the development of tourism services, creating joint programs to promote national routes, as well as measures to attract investment in the tourist infrastructure of both countries. The meeting participants noted the potential of cultural and natural heritage of Uzbekistan and Mongolia as a basis for deepening tourism ties.

The parties expressed interest in boosting cooperation at the level of tourism companies, exchanging delegations and participating in international exhibitions, as well as creating favorable conditions for increasing mutual tourist flows. Possible steps to simplify visa procedures and improve transport accessibility between the two countries were also discussed.
