The French Development Agency (AFD) will provide Uzbekistan with a loan of 30 million euros for the implementation of large-scale projects in the field of improving the energy efficiency of the housing sector. The financing will be part of bilateral cooperation aimed at supporting sustainable development, reducing energy losses and implementing modern environmental standards in construction.
The allocated funds will be used to modernize residential infrastructure, including improving the thermal insulation of apartment buildings, installing energy-efficient heating and lighting systems, and applying innovative construction technologies. The project will focus on reducing energy consumption and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which is in line with the national strategy of Uzbekistan for the transition to a” green " economy.
The project provides for close cooperation with local authorities and construction organizations, which will ensure a sustainable and long-term effect of the implemented measures. In addition, the initiative contributes to the development of institutional capacity in the field of energy regulation and improving energy efficiency standards.
Cooperation with France in this area reflects the growing international interest in the environmental transformation of Uzbekistan. It also demonstrates the country's commitment to climate commitments and the desire to create a comfortable and safe living environment for the population, while reducing dependence on traditional energy sources.
