According to official data, as of April 1, 2025, 424,143 POS terminals have been installed in Uzbekistan. These indicators reflect a steady trend towards the expansion of non-cash payment and indicate significant progress in the digitalization of financial transactions in the country.
Xalq Bank remains the leader among banks in terms of the number of installed terminals, accounting for 45,658 devices. The active participation of banks in the development of the POS network has become an important factor in promoting modern payment services both in cities and in remote regions.
The widespread use of POS terminals has a positive impact on increasing financial inclusion, allowing more citizens and entrepreneurs to use non-cash forms of payment. This is especially true in the context of the rapid growth of the domestic market for e-commerce and digital services.
In addition, the dynamics of the installation of terminals is directly related to the efforts of the Government of Uzbekistan aimed at modernizing the national financial infrastructure. The development of a cashless economy is considered one of the key priorities in the framework of economic reforms and digital transformation.
Experts note that further expansion of the network of POS terminals, as well as the introduction of new technological solutions in the field of digital payments, will contribute to increasing the transparency of financial flows, strengthening confidence in the banking system and stimulating entrepreneurial activity.
