Uzbekistan and Iran create Joint Business Council to expand economic cooperation

Uzbekistan and Iran have reached an agreement on the establishment of a Joint Business Council, the main task of which will be to strengthen trade and economic ties between the two countries. The new structure will promote the active development of business contacts, as well as prompt resolution of issues faced by entrepreneurs in the process of foreign economic activity.

The Council will include representatives of the business community, government agencies and industry associations of both countries. Its activities are aimed at creating a favorable business environment, promoting joint initiatives and facilitating investment projects.

According to the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the creation of the Council opens up new prospects for deepening cooperation, primarily in such key areas as industry, agriculture, transport and logistics. Special attention will be paid to developing mutual trade and attracting investment in strategically important sectors.

This agreement is part of a broader program to expand Uzbekistan's foreign economic relations and is consistent with the policy of active international cooperation and integration into regional markets.
