In the first three months of 2025, the Uzbek economy received $ 8.7 billion in foreign direct investment. This is 20 percent more than in the same period in 2024, which indicates a continued increase in investment activity in the country.
The funds raised will be used to implement priority projects in key sectors. Among them are energy, metallurgy, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, transport, agriculture and water management, as well as municipal infrastructure and the social sphere. This diversification of directions indicates the country's desire for comprehensive development and modernization of the national economy.
During 2025, Uzbekistan plans to attract a total of $ 42 billion in investment. These funds will be used for the implementation of 81 major projects, as well as more than 8 thousand medium and small initiatives. The large-scale investment plan demonstrates a high level of trust on the part of international partners and the recognition of Uzbekistan as a promising and stable platform for long-term cooperation.
The growth in the volume of attracted investments strengthens the country's position on the world stage and confirms the sustainability of ongoing reforms aimed at improving the business climate and creating a favorable environment for entrepreneurship.
