China's Yutong Corporation plans to build a bus factory in Uzbekistan

One of the world's largest manufacturers of passenger transport — the Chinese engineering corporation Yutong-is actively negotiating with the government of Uzbekistan to create its own bus production on the territory of the republic. The project includes localization of not only traditional models, but also advanced electric and hydrogen buses, which can be a significant step in the development of environmentally friendly transport in the region.

The parties discuss the terms of a strategic partnership involving technology transfer, training of specialists and the creation of a modern production base. Yutong representatives have already presented to the Uzbek side the concept of integrating their own intelligent solutions, including telematics systems, autonomous control elements and modular chassis, which can become the basis for a wide range of models.

The project is considered as part of the national strategy for the formation of a transport cluster and the development of industrial cooperation with leading international companies. Uzbekistan shows a steady interest in attracting investment in high-tech mechanical engineering and creating new industries that can not only meet domestic demand, but also export products to foreign markets.
