According to the Statistics Agency, in the first quarter of 2025, Uzbekistan's gross domestic product grew by 6.8% compared to the same period last year. This is one of the highest growth rates in recent years, indicating the progressive development of the national economy.
Among the key factors that ensured this result are the growth of industrial production, the active development of the construction sector and the expansion of the service sector. A steady increase in output is also observed in agriculture, which highlights the overall diversification of the economy.
The economic bloc of the government notes that the progress achieved was made possible thanks to the consistent implementation of national investment programs, reforms in the field of product certification and active support for exports. These measures have helped to improve the business climate, expand production capacity and increase business activity in the country.
According to the long-term strategy, Uzbekistan plans to increase its GDP to $ 200 billion by 2030, which is almost twice as much as the current figures. This ambitious target highlights the republic's desire to strengthen its position in the international economic arena and ensure sustainable growth through the modernization of key industries.
