Uzbekistan appoints first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Bahrain

Uzbekistan has officially appointed its first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Bahrain. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This step marked the beginning of a new stage in the development of diplomatic relations between the two countries and became an important milestone on the way to expanding Uzbekistan's foreign policy presence in the Persian Gulf countries.

The appointed Ambassador will carry out a mission to deepen political dialogue, strengthen economic ties and promote cultural exchange between Tashkent and Manama. Special attention will be paid to cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, education and energy.

Until now, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Bahrain has been carried out mainly within the framework of international organizations and multilateral diplomatic formats. The opening of a full-fledged diplomatic mission in Manama will allow us to move to more active and systematic bilateral work, including coordinating joint initiatives, supporting business contacts, and protecting the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens in Bahrain.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that this appointment reflects the course of Uzbekistan towards a comprehensive expansion of international cooperation and the development of mutually beneficial partnerships with the states of the Middle East.
